Usage

Powering on SC504

The videoconferencing technology in SC504 utilizes the local PC mounted on the wall next to the TV. The computer should always be on but in the event that it is shut off, you can manually push power button located on the left side of the Lenovo tiny PC:

Once the PC is on you will need to power on the display. The room has only a 60" Samsung TV on the wall that acts as the computer monitor and speakers for the Lenovo in the room. You can use the Samsung remote on the table in order to power it up.

The default input should be HDMI 1 and will show the computer screen if it is awake. In the event you have a blue screen or no input, use the remote to select the correct input. If you want to bring your own device with the hanging HDMI cable, you would need to select input number 2 on with the remote:

Calling Another ITV System

The default application used for videoconferencing would be Skype for Business although Zoom or other web browser based applications can be utilized as well. If the call is between the main campus or any other ITV room in the college you will need to either search for the room in the contacts list (which may take some time to populate) or you can type in the room name and call it directly. Adjusting the Camera

The camera used in SC504 is a 3X Wide Huddlecam located in front of the TV. The camera view is wide enough to encompass the entire room but in the event you want to zoom in on someone, you can use the remote on the podium

Should you want to change the direction or zoom of the camera, you can follow these steps: Locate the remote and make sure the camera is powered on (the camera will have a blue light on the front). If the camera is not powered on simply press the "Power" button and give the camera a few seconds to initialize. Once the camera is on, under the "Camera Select" press the number 1 button. Once the camera is selected you can use the navigation arrow buttons to move the camera view and the "Zoom In" or "Zoom Out" to do just that.
