Online Learning Orientation (OLO)

Online Learning Orientation (OLO) is a class on Blackboard intended for first time online students. It MUST be completed before any other courses will show up for the student.
General Info
- All new online students will be required to take a mandatory online course called, "Online Learning Orientation" in the Blackboard learning management system.
- A new online student is a student that has not successfully completed an online course here at Bay College.
- It is important that you complete this prior to the beginning of the semester.
- You have access to the Online Learning Orientation as soon as you register for an online course.
- This course takes about one and a half hours to complete.
- It will take 24 hours after your completion of the Online Learning Orientation to get access to your online courses.
Taking the OLO
- Go to the Blackboard Log In page
- Log in with your user name and password (if you have not set up your username and password go to the Password Manager)
- The middle heading called "course list" will have a course listed called Online Learning Orientation. Click on the course title, Online Learning Orientation, to enter the course.
- Complete the course. (You will get access to your online courses 24 hours after you complete this course.)
