Cloud Computing Policy
- This policy applies to faculty, staff and students, but it is critical employees read and understand the Cloud Computing Policy before using OneDrive or any other cloud based service.
Please be aware of Board of Trustees policy, 1056, the Cloud Computing Policy. This policy prohibits the use of cloud collaboration and storage providers for any sensitive data. Sensitive data is defined in the policy, but includes FERPA protected data and personally identifiable information, among other items. Please see the Cloud Computing Policy for all sensitive data types.
Recommendations
The following are recommendations from the IT Department regarding the use of OneNote:
- If it helps you better organize projects you can create multiple notebooks. To create another Notebook click on your Bay Email Address and then choose Add Notebook
- Always follow the Cloud Computing Policy above - OneNote is NOT the place to keep FERPA protected data, sensitive financial information, passwords, etc.
