Faxing

Overview

Due to certificate restrictions, please use the browser Firefox

Web-Based Faxing

  1. Open Firefox and navigate to the appropriate link:
  - For Escanaba campus staff/faculty/users: Main Campus Fax
  - For Iron Mountain campus staff/faculty/users: West Campus Fax
  1. Accept or confirm the certificate prompt.
  2. Log in with your credentials:
  - Login Name: Your username
  - Login Password: Your password (use the "forgot password" link if needed)
  1. Once logged in, follow these steps:
  - Select "Send Fax."
  - Enter recipient information:
    - Name
    - Organization
    - Fax number
    - Telephone number or extension (for response purposes)
  - Enter a subject and any additional comments.
  - Attach the document to the fax (ensure it is in an approved format: .txt, .tif, .tiff, .pdf, or .ps).
  - Customize any default options as desired.
  - Click "Send Fax."

If the fax fails to send, you will receive an email notification (if the default setting for "Send a receipt" is enabled).

Modifying User Attributes

To update your user attributes on the fax host, follow these steps:

  1. Click "User" in the toolbar.
  2. Change your password (it can be any combination of letters and numbers but cannot contain special characters like !@#$%^&*()_+).
  3. Modify your telephone number and fax number (if you prefer to list your full 10-digit number). This number will be visible to recipients.
  4. Save changes by selecting "Update."

Additional Notes

You do not need to dial 9 to get an outside line when sending a fax.
